Default Schumacher Supastox upgrade help!!

Hopefully someone can help, currently I have a standard 13.5t 1s setup but people at my club run modified cars 21.5 2s setups, unfortunately i am new to this but I want to upgrade to a 21.5 setup. Can anyone advise the best motor, esc and battery to purchase..

Cheers in advance...

Rich

Have you looked at what your club members are using?

2s battery, not sure if you can get them in the UK but these are same size as 1s

Thunder Power 21.5 would be a good choice

Any high end esc either new or used will be up to the job

Default Cheers for reply

Unfortunately trying to look at some peoples cars at the club does not help as they are not very helpful and keep their cars under wraps. I have tried to sneak a peak at the guy with the fastest car but no joy :-) Another guy i spoke to tried to help but he had same issue trying to work out what other people are running...

lol Looks like its very competitive even at friendly meetinsg...

If its that competitive and there are vast speed differences between cars, and other racers are reluctant to talk about their setups, sounds to me like they are running non-blinky esc settings, timing/boost on the esc. As Mark has mentioned, 21.5 /2S is a downgrade in terms of meeting the fair and national spec of 13.5/1S/blinky, but if you are having to move to something else just to keep up, then something is amiss with the class rules at the club. If the club is relaxed about the spec rules, then swich your esc out of blinky and into full timing advance mode, and see how you compare then, before wasting your money on the 21.5 setup.

1s / 13.5T is faster around the track due to lighter weight but car has less "Torque" out of the corner. you need to max out the motor timing. it would make lot of difference.
