Hi all
I am build my first buggy a 22 and am putting on schumacher staggers tyres on the front rims (everyone uses these at my local track) now the rim is wider than the tyre so i have been told just cut the rim down,do i just cut through the rim and reduce its size or just cut away the lip of the rim the small egde that sticks up of the rim. cheers craig |

hello craig ,
the point is to cut on the inner side of the rim , until you reache the inner upstand ring , also you must remove the inner ring on the outside of the rim , because the bead of the tires is a bit wide, and they wont fit properly between 2 upstanding side's . also there are men riding with the inner ring still on it, and gleu the tyre behind the second inner upstand ring, same effect, not so nice looking ![]() |
