Too long is 28-30 second laps, looking at 10-12 laps per 5 minutes.

Too short is sub 20 second laps (average), this will be 15+ laps per 5 minutes.

Anywhere in between is about right in my opinion.

The physical length to do this depends on the speed of the track, as you can understand. A fast layout will have to be longer, but slow it down with technical corners and jumps and it won't need to be as long.

So its not about the physical length, its what you do with it that matters.

Oh god, I need to mention width but I can't without bucket loads of inuendo. Its just impossible so here is the only way I can do it:

Go to BRCA.org, rule number 14.

Slightly off topic but im not starting up another thread.

Why do we run to a laptime "window" of 22-28 secs a lap. What is deemed wrong with a 40 second lap lie in rallyX

Just a question, im not saying its wrong

at the speeds 10th scale run, a 40+ second lap would mean the car going so far away from the drivers stand we would be racing dots
