Default B-Max 4 - Versions..

Can someone help me out.

I get really confused when it comes to the B-max 4 line up, can someone list out what version came first and what was new on the updated versions?

B Max 4 - original kit with plastic shocks 2008?
B Max 4 FT - All the hop ups etc etc etc

Thinking of switching to yoke for 4wd as well this year but want to get my head round all the flavors out there first.

Latest and full thing is B-Max 4 II Japan Edition 2012 or part no.: bmax4wn. There is also the B-Max 4 II World Specs 2011.

Difference between those two is that 2012 has 2 chassis in the package and 2 upper decks, hard and soft for carpet and everything else respectively. 2012 also has the updated X-Shock version 2 the exact same ones that the 2wd has.

What Mekios said is pretty much it. I dont think the Worlds version is available any more, just the WN. I fitted the Hard chassis/topdeck to my car and it makes a great difference.

Great build and pretty bulletproof.

Thanks guys.

So from what I can ascertain the time line goes something like :
  • B-Max 4
  • B-Max 4 FT
  • B-Max 4 II World Specs 2011
  • B-Max 4 II Japan Edition 2012

AFAIK there should be a B-Max4 II and B-Max4 II FT between the FT and the World Spec and a B-Max4 CP (Champion's Pack) before the FT.

Shock caps should be identical, it is the lower part of the shock that is different (no clip in the newer one, threaded lower shock cap). According to the manual, both the WS and the WN have the C-ring drive shafts.

Do I have to buy the sylinder to get it updated, do you know what parts I need?

Reasen why I'm asking is that I have a spec on my hand (brand new in box) and want to know what parts I need to get it 100% as the new verson and how much it will cost me.

I don't whant to buy the spec if I have to change a lot...
