the first servo came stock from a b4.1 and as i left a spacer on the mounts the servo was pushed further forward than it should have been and bust itself when it got jammed with another arm after a nasty landing,
the second servo was an old futaba one kindly donated to me in pity as 2 laps into the meeting i had no servo so i put that in without the spacers this time and it went great for two laps then on another ichy landing the wheels locked and i had to leave the race. what had happened was the servo arm had been pulled back and then bent the wrong way, so toward the chassis rather than away. i think they were both plastic servo's and i want to know if a metal savox 1251mg servo for instance would stop this problem or could it be something wrong with my set-up? thanks |

As discussed its a great servo, very strong and durable. Had mine for 4 years now, from novice to expect
![]() ![]() Can't go wrong with the Savox tbh. Think Apex have them in, I use a 1251 ![]()

deffinatly is a good servo owing to the number of people who have it but at that price i dont was to brake it after a few laps because i have overlooked something on the car.

The better servos also have spare part support. So even if you do break an expensive one, you can get replacement parts.
Have broken a couple of Futabas and a couple of "cheap" ones. The cheap ones are in the bin, one Futaba is still being used, the other i have parts on order for. (One of the cheap ones was the stock B4.1 RTR servo!) You could also look at getting a servo saver in there. (Don't think the 22 has one does it?) |
