Default NiMh Stick packs

Does anyone know where I can get good competition spec race packs, 7.2V NiMh, or am I better off building up my own ?

Racing Tamiya Mini with brushed motors.

Thanks in advance.

I used a lipo from here in mine. http://component-shop.co.uk/html/li-po_car_packs.html

Their nimh packs are quite reasonable too.
You'll have to check delivery costs of course.

Not allowed to use lipo under our club rules.

No one seems to stock top notch stick packs anymore

They still make the cells, but because they aren't used for racing no one tests them then slaps a premium price on the best ones.

Vapextech
have a good reputation for good quality cells.

Your club needs to change rules. NiMH is a dead technology and it's not fair to expect people to race with it.

Nimh are still the most popular battery technology in r/c cars around the world. Racers might not be interested in them but racers are only a tiny minority of r/c car users. Nimh will only be 'dead' when they stop including them in RTR cars.

There's also the fact no BRCA legal lipo can actually fit inside a Tamiya Mini.
