Is meths ok for cleaning marker pen of a bodyshell?

Should be fine yes. I use either lynx deodorant (not anti-persperant) or surgical spirit personally

I once cleaned a shell with HPI's nitro car cleaner and it stripped the marker pen of instantly.

just draw over perm marker and rub it off
