Rental Car(s)

Hi Guys

Was scanning through the old posts the other day and came across a post regarding the idea of rental cars (mad rats I remember)

Did this go ahead? It's just I've got a friend who's interested in started but would like to try it first.

We do have some rental cars I think. Rog has a few lurking around that can be used as such - 4wds with basic motors and NiMH's. Not going to set the world alight but enough for an idea.

The club has a new Master Smacker and a used Academy but the cells are now totally useless.
I was hanging on until we got our electrickery back so we could charge up before a Sunday with a timer or something.

How much would they be to rent and would this include a radio?

And also, (on a separate note) as I am also new and it will be my 2nd time in feb, how much will it bee for fees? BRCA membership and meet day?

3 meetings before you need BRCA, but Rog will know the costs. Your first meeting is free, and since this is really your first meeting as the last one never officially happened (and was free anyway) I'd say you shouldn't have to pay. But then they don't put me in charge of money for a reason!

The cars have radios etc, in theory they are ready to go but as pointed out the cells they had are some ropey old NiMH's that haven't been used in years so might not work.

I'm not sure that a cost for using them was ever really set, except for standard 'you break it' rules.
