Default Rb6 build help please.

Hi there. Just finishing up building my rb6. Some confusing bits in the build manual but overall seems a very nice kit. Got to mounting the shocks and the plastic shock ball that goes into the top of the shock seems too small. Am I missing something? I have mounted them for now and they are not going to fall off but seems strange that they aren't snug.

Also are there any specific parts to thread lock do I need to rebuild the drive shafts? With thread-lock. Strange they don't have plastic collars on to stop the pin coming out.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

For the shock ball they are as you said a bit small but just nip the nut a bit harder as you would normally do. Like this the plastic shock ball compresses a bit and it's fine.

CVD's are perfect as kit, no need for a rebuilt with thread lock.

I just finished mine yesterday and I was exactly the same, thought the shock ball was too small, but as stated, just nipped it up and it was all good . The car feels really good.

don't over tighten them as it will stiffen them up to much and ruin your handling

Nipped them up but can't go too tight as it will strip the plastic nut. On page 13 of the build manual number 4. Has everyone used both shims 0.5 mm and 1.0 mm? Iv just put 1 to build but wasn't sure if I need both.

I also read somewhere that page 12 no3 the bulkhead should go opposite with the 30 facing forwards instead of the 25 as manual shows?

Page 12 again number 2 'steering wiper' does the arrow go underneath facing forwards? The part that connects the arms together looks different in all 3 pictures. Not sure if mine is correct way around?

I have come to the conclusion that if I build another kyosho I use a large table and lay every part out before I start so I can see everything in front of me. Seemed to be digging around all bags trying to find screws etc. even though it does say the bag numbers on each section.

Help appreciated.
