Default Long chassis feedback...

Just a post to ask how everybody is getting on with the new dimec20 long chassis, what pros and cons are you finding?

Ive been running it for three meetings, outdoors in cold, low grip conditons...the only difference being the size of the two tracks. The first and third time i ran it was at coventry on their astroturf track which is large and sweeping and the second at Broxtowe. on a tighter track.

So far i have been really impressed, i have always struggled with the car in the wet or low grip conditons and could never really get a feel for the car, how much throttle, brake or steering i should be using...obvioulsy big problems in RC Racing!

The new chassis however has totally solved these issues, and in fact i am now finding that the rear end is too locked in...in the past, in wet/slippy conditons i have always used 3.5 degrees toe in and still struggled for rear traction but today, on another slippy coventry track, i was able to actually drop down to 2.5 degrees, resulting in my best times being posted, im sure this wouldnt have been possible with the original chassis.

I still have plenty of things to play with but id be interested to hear on how anyone else is getting on with the chassis...and can any mods enable the long chassis to match the short chassis for pace on the smaller, technical tracks? I dont want to be scratching my head in the build up to meetings deciding what chassis to use in a sport of infinite options, i use enough of my brain cell in deciding what to have from the cob van!

we have snapped 3 of them at our club so far. Durango have been very good though and replaced them in exchange for the broken ones so they can investigate them. Top notch otherwise though

Where did you snap them?
I had the rear left screw rip the hole out at the weekend.
Really liked the chassis but I can't be replacing it every week.

Maybe a T plates is in order??

replace the screws with button heads for the rear suspension blocks, as yes we have had the screws pulled through. not a problem with button heads though
