Default Foam Tyres

This is probably a daft question, but, is there any way I could fit a 12mm hex to the rear wheels of my 210 to allow me to run Contact Foam Wheels and Tyres. Our local TC club are allowing buggys to run this year but no pin or spike tyres are allowed in case of damage to the prima-felt carpet. A fellow buggy driver turned up last week with foams on and destroyed the field. He had got 1/8 Contact foams and fixed them to his Schumacher wheels somehow. I thought it would be easier if you could change the wheel hex meaning they would bolt straight on ?

Derek had the foams on mate and they were awesome on the carpet, I could do it the same way he did it I suppose, just thought there may be an easier way. i.e 12mm hex on rear so the wheels would bolt straight on.

We run slicks as we share the permanant carpet with touring folk and if we use minipins it will rip/fluff up too much.

I get mine from hobbycity.se or evolutionracing.se it better that you contact them yourselves that way you can save a postage cost from them to me.

Inserts: I use AKA red or Proline blue, I have found that tubby foams etc are too soft. I also wrap the thicker double sided tape around the rim to help fill it out, which is needed more for later on in its life as they tire can get soft. ** Dont forget the breathing holes!!

We also use addative then clean them with brake cleaner or lamp oil.

Hope that helps and if you get stuck contacting the shops then let me know. Try hobbycity first and say I (Simon Frost) recommended them to you
