I have a C4.1 to play around with on some clay tracks which doesn't seem like the norm for this car. If anyone has a setup to start with that'd be great.
Right now I think I'm going to start with a rear motor shock setup, brown/green springs and oil typically run on these tracks and go from there. The next thing I'm guessing is the brass bulkhead and no other weight in the front. Is there anyway to get more rear toe besides using the factory team associated hubs? Also would a shorty pack all the way against the back give more rear bite than a saddle pack? |

Where to start! You can run a longer chassis to start with either rudebits new one or tony parrs. Cml are testing a new one currently but not available yet. Search on petite setup site under c4.1 setups Neil craggs Worksop setup where he's running 30/30w all round could be a good start. No other way of adjusting the toe in other than the hubs. You may want to take weight out of front all depends how much turn in you have. I think yardy ran his car on clay this year overseas can't totally remember sure he will be around to confirm. Moving the batteries to rear will give move rear end but may also do strange things mid corner so try both. Slower motor required as per normal 7.5t-8.5t Gaz

Sounds good to me, I'll take some weight out, change the rear hubs, and shock setup. Hopefully I'll get some good track time with it this week. Yesterday I ran it on the track just a few laps, felt good but the setup was all wacky. Any slight bit of brake made it want to sling around even when traveling in a straight line. The rear didn't like anything but uber smooth throttle. No way to push it at all.
I think the number one problem was the shocks and them being setup for carpet, very stiff and didn't allow for much weight transfer on the slick surface. Has anyone tried raising the tranny up a tad? |

Anything to look out for? The current shock and camber link locations seem fine, just too stiff.

Buy a b4.1!!
Or...I've got all the bits you might need to convert c4 back to b4.1 for clay!
