Does anyone know how to get a supastox down to 950 grams
I have used lightweight cables , shortened all cables , replaced the heavy rear body mount . Lightweight 12th servo, micro receiver, remove all unused srews, 984g including shell Any ideas how to loose more weight ? |

ye ive done the same to mine and its still way over the only other things you could do is change the lipo as there are heavy and lite ones and you cloud replace all the screws and nuts with alloy or titanium ones but this ant going to get you down to 950 grams and you mite end up bending some of the srcews (if you use alloy) in a crash cuz there not as tuff as stell ones. its better to have a balanced car (left to right front to back) that is a little over weight than the other way round. the ss has got a lot more parts than the mardave but i think it handles loads better than the mardave so this is the trade off

I wouldnt worry about it.......its only 34g.!!
Try the Core RC Lipo.............I tried one last week and it weighs about half as much as any other lipo. Also, what electrics are you running? Try a micro servo / smaller ESC (Remove fan / Heatsink) / Smaller Receiver. Use tape to hold in Battery rather than velcro strap. Titanium / Aluminium Screws, Titabium turnbuckles?? Lots of ways, but all seem quite pricey.......I would just run it and not worry too much about it. A balanced car is more important than a light car. |

You could remove the composite straps on top of the bumpers and use washers instead. That'll save about 5g
