As most of you know I am restoring a nice yokomo yz10 and I am loving it really am !! Plan is to run in but should I -
A) find a vintage race to run it in (any around the north west) B) take it to a standard meeting an run it there Any suggestions and previous experiences ???? It's going to have brushed set up with nimh !!! ![]() As always thank you |

Id find a vintage class if you can, and keep it mild, just baby those diffs man lol.
Im still on the fence whether ill run mine, its a tough call, itll not be raced, but just to run it lightly is a decision driving me mad. bests.........lee

Yes I no mate, see how I feel when it's finished !!! Just need to replace most of the screws as they tuck some getting out!!! However the manual is so hard to understand as to how many of each type I need

Let me know where you are having trouble mate, im sure we can find you the right sizes, dont forget, mine was rebuilt screw for screw, all new, so i have most sizes to recap, may even be able to send you some, even have the 45mm for the front bulkhead, there not Yoko screws, but, trust me, you DONT want Yoko screws lol.

I found the YZ10 diffs are really good. They are very similar in ways to the Tamiya 501X diff. Personaly I run ceramic diff balls and they easily handle low turn motors.

As long as you've got 3mm belts in there rather than the fine pitch ones then it should handle whatever motor you want to put in it within reason.
No vintage meetings around in the North West, but the only difference when running between a vintage meet and a normal meet are the other buggies on track with you. As long as the other drivers are sensible then you should be fine.
