Default Cleaning Turbo Optima Mid SE Wheels

Anyone who has these wheels knows they have an unusual surface finish to them

I have a set that need a bit of a clean but don't want to damage them in the process

For anyone that has a set and has had to clean them what did you use, just warm soapy water perhaps?

Just warm soapy water, leave them to soak for a short while, I recommend a simple (not too harsh) nail brush as it won't damage the slight texture of the wheels face.

I will post up a pic of my mid custom SE wheels that where very grubby (but not damaged/marked) that survived the above process and look like new.

I cheated a bit when I built my SE. Found some chrome rims for a Kyosho Skyline onroad model

Thanks or the tip Matt. Keen to see the pics of yours. Mine wont be mint but they are pretty nice and I just wanted to clean them up best I could. Its the only set I have every seen for sale to date new or used. I remember when I had my SE there was a trick of cutting the outer section of a Mid wheel off and then glueing it to the centre of the wheel to be able to use a narrow tyre, however I used a pair of normal Mid wheels I wan't adventurous to cut the SE wheels. I was planning on making a set of narrow fronts with this set but again I can't bring myself to do it

Jopp that is indeed a nice cheat. The other option would be the Pargu aluminium wheels
