Default Best Servos and Receivers for Vintage Shelfers

Because I couldn't really afford anything special back in the day I'm not sure what was considered the go back in the day for receivers and servos that would be best for a shelfer, but also not sure if there are any particularly nice looking servos and receivers out there

Have been collecting a few brushed motor ESCs and some motors but not servos or receivers yet.

Pictures or suggestions appreciated

Noval XXL or Xtra reciever, KO 1001, or KO 712/713.

Maybe have an ask on rc10talk.com as loads of Vintage info on there.

I would agree with above post.. rc10 talk is very good for vintage rc inc different makes and models.
Radio gear was not very advanced in comparison to today's tech as i'm sure your well aware... I would head for maybe tekin esc and Futaba attack type (large size) reciever of available kinds on fleebay.
Good luck... let us all know how you get on please..

I have a couple Tekin ESCs though they are only a G-12 and a G-12C
The motors so far have been Kyosho LeMans 480 Gold and another LeMans

I used to have a HPI Uno in my Mid, doubt I will ever find one of those, and then later a Losi Revolution, I think it was the Insane, can't remember

Is it still possible to get the old 1200mAH NiCD Sanyo SCR Cells on their own?

I have only been on this forum so far but I will venture onto RC10 talk soon, thanks for the tip

I guess as long as the gear is from the brushed era that is OK does not necessarily have to be from the same time as the Mid and Lazer

Hi. When I was racing back in the day the best speedos were..

Tekin 410k
Tekin 411g2
Novak 410hpc

Club racers loved the speed master shrink wrapped jobbies!!

I know you asked about receivers ans servos but I got excited and carried away trying to remember the model numbers of the above!!!
