I've just finished putting together my first RC car which is a Team Durango DEX210.
The car does run but makes a loud screeching noise when I'm on full throttle, if I pick the car up this sound changes to more of a drilling sound. This comes from the rear of the car but i cant pinpoint it. If it helps the wheels appear to vibrate a little (when there is no traction on them). Any ideas what might be causing this? |

wheels vibrating when lifted off the ground could be the droop screw not being unscrewed enough.
as for the other sound, I'd suggest it could be something to do with either a loose slipper or diff, maybe even both and possibly a bad mesh between spur and pinion. i'd recommend taking it to you local track to see if anybody can offer any better advice |

Sounds like the diff.

somethings to test & check....
- Pinion to spur mesh. - Is the gearbox free? It is possible to overtighten and bind up the 210 gearbox imho. I test it with the pinion off and the driveshaft unconnected. I gradually tighten the 5 gearbox screws in turn until it starts to cause a tight spot, and then back that screw off slightly so it is free. - Wishbone droop screws as mentioned ... if, with everything assembled, you apply the throttle, does the problem only occur with the wishbones at full droop ? - Slop ... given it's a fresh build, it may be a simple build error ... have you got any excessive play in your suspension ? happy to help

Have you used to much thread lock on the grub screw that holds pin on the drive shafts.
You will find that the drive joint is tight to move. If its not that then its the diff slipping or the slipper. ![]()

Could be the Ball diff is not tight enough, loose slipper squeaks but loose ball diff screeches.
Tighten up the diff screw (705030 page 22 of the manual) if that the case Its possible to over tighten the gearbox screws, that binds the assembly and may be worth checking as AndyG sez |

No need for the grub screw in the driveshafts, as the pins are held in by the bearing.
