Default Next work party...Saturday 28th July...

Hi Guys,

Just to give you a bit more notice, following this coming weekends (21st) efforts we will be back at the track again on Saturday 28th July to continue laying astro and finishing off the track.

We won't manage lay all the astro at the first outing (or I'd be massively surprised if we did!!!), so we'll need another BIG push and as many pairs of hands as possible to get the astro finished off...we've no idea if this will be the last effort, I suspect not, but it'd be great to get the bulk of it done. With the first astro laying work party already done we'll have a much better idea and a method for laying it, so it should be a bit quicker by then!

Once again though....AS MANY PAIRS OF HANDS AS POSSIBLE PLEASE

Your efforts will be hugely appreciated...and will help to make what we hope will be a fantastic place to come and race!!!

We'll be at the track from about 10am onwards...there til we run out of energy!

We usually manage until about 5-6pm...

Made some great progress last night too by the way...

...so track is now about 40% covered I would say...we've got the technique much better sorted now, it's still hard work, and still needs many hands, but it's quite speedy once you get in the groove with it. I'm trying to come up with a plan of action for the day tomorrow...but it gets a little more technical now as we'll be cutting smaller pieces and cutting joints in over the lumps and bumps from now on!

Nice one Adam, see you there then...what kind of time do you reckon?

Just to add that we have also had an offer of help from the landlord with his forklift to help move the rolls near to where they need to be rolled out which should take some of the more back breaking work out of the job.

Also if anyone can lay their hands on a generator can you please bring it along tomorrow. We have an electric mini angle grinder but will need something to power them !!
