Best batteries for transmitter

can anyone recommend a decent set of batteries to use for etronix pulse 1010 transmitter, the argos specials i bought 2000mah only last 10 mins , i discharge them regular,
any comments would be appreciated

I have one of these transmitters and have used old 1300 Nicads without real problems. I have a couple of times left it switched on for over an hour and sweated whether it would last the days racing. They did.

If you have a Lipo Charger then its worth getting a Lipo 3S battery. I spoke to someone who has one and he said he only needs to charge once a month despite racing every week.

The Argos batteries should last a lot longer than 10 mins and you should not need to discharge them

If you need AA batteries, look for Sanyo Eneloops - they are the original low-self-discharge cell and they are blinkin' brilliant!

There are other low-self-discharge cells around but I can't comment on how well they perform compared to the Sanyos.

Would give a big up for going 3 cell Li-po, much better than AA rechargeables. Virtually no self discharge when not in use and seem to last for many weeks, 6+ with use every week at my local club night.

My only question is how do I charge it from my Turnigy Accucel-6 which has 4mm tube connectors? Can I buy or make an adaptor?
