Default Impact of batteries on Temps

Random question but looking to see what may be causing some temp problems...what impact do cells C rating etc have?

I am running 4S 6800 70C....would my motor temps reduce a little if I used lower C cells, or would it not make any difference?

The C rating won't directly affect temps, but if you are using all the punch they have to offer, then a higher C rating will result in higher temps.

Rather than reduce the C rating it would be better to turn down ESC / motor down / gear down / Tx throttle settings.

How would temps be impacted by throttle tx settings?

Eg if I turn down EPA, will it reduce temps or increase them (as the motor is never flat out?)?

Would temps be helped by playing with the expo to effectively reduce punch a bit?

Dave, I would have thought that the esc would be the limiting factor in the amount and rate of current being provided to the motor. Be through the acceleration phase (punch) or when flat out (boost/ turbo). Although the higher rated batteries will be able to cope with more punch and be more likely to provide it.
As well as the above suggestions keep in mind ambient temperature and airflow across the electronics which will all affect cooling/ heating far more.

That's why I wonder about the castle fan...a fan is good but is shrouding half your motor in plastic really going to help!!
