I am pretty sure the DB1 will handle great, but my 2th gen Vega also handles great.
I want to know in which aspect of handling they differ from each other. Does anybody have hands on experience or thoughts on this matter? |

My expectations would be more on power steering, less off power steering. By putting the motor longways you get less of the front to back weight shift from the motor. Similar to using the X6 with a slipper brass fly wheel (cancel's out motor effect). Only it also likely has a lower centre of gravity, without the typical mid-motor 4 gear box. Sounds good in principal to me

Just a heads up,
I think its unfair to ask a team driver that question. Maybe a quiet word at the track about his thoughts but not really something you should expect an answer on a public forum ![]() |

I also think it's a little unfair for Kev to be put in a position where he has to comment between the 2 cars
He has chosen to drive a Kyosho DB1 now, so that sort of answers your question anyways and of course you would expect me to say that -- Surely!!!! As someone that has driven both cars, I can tell you the Vega conversion is a very good all round car and I recommend it I think your questions might be better answered when the DB1 is in circulation to everyone and not just Team drivers

There seems to be a conflict I don't really understand.
What is the issue for a team driver to answer himself without trying to get too wrapped up in debate on a public forum? Are there some conflicts of interest here? If I've missed something very obvious please correct me. But I'd say forums like this are to have open and civil discussion! |
