Default Nitro firestorm

Anyone know if a blitz front end will fit straight onto the front of a nitro firestorm?

looks do-able, need to fabricate a motor mount, and replace the battery/receiver box with bumpers at the back, then try and fit a 48dp spur gear onto the slipper clutch unit, then find a way too mount your lipo securely

And being a proper engineer Will you have of course measured the wheelbase and track width before going ahead with building the worlds heaviest 2wd SCT?

Thought the Blitz was best car in the world, blah blah blah, so why the need for this 'genius' idea?

I never said the blitz was the best, I also fancy the challenge and it will either work or be crap but there's only one way we will know, it wouldn't need the top chassis plates so that a bit of weight gone

I know already what it will be, unless it's a school project then don't waste your time... use your time for well needed practicing.

unless you have measured wheelbase and trackwidth and can get existing SCT wheels/bodies to fit straight on then its a non starter.

you sure that top deck can go in bin? you sure the chassis won't bend on the first jump landing or crash?

If you really want a mid motored Blitz based car then look at how the buggys and conversions kits are manufactured then look at having your own made... you'll need to design a 4 gear gearbox and a specific chassis plus have them manufactured, plus consider chassis stresses and stiffness but its all achievable... probably work out cheaper than buying a firestorm too if you knowthe right people.

try it and see, first time you hit anything you would tweak the aluminium chassis because there is no strenghtening between front and rear, bit like the c4.1's did before it became a known issue and they braced it up

.

got too say will i agree with mark on that one, its always good to try out different things and interesting to see how things turn out. but unless you have a good enough reason to try it, as mark said school project or similar, its not worth the time and expense to do this.

if you really want to make something mid motor look at the madrat/madmonkey cars instead of the blitz
