i thought people were comparing them to yellow mini spikes for dry astro, and the B compound (softer) for the wet.

May well be the case, however with nothing else in the locker I bolted them on the B44.1 and they were great.

I've been using them on all grass and dusty, bumpy grass tracks and they seem to work really well. Didn't like them on really wet grass, the ballistic green is better in my opinion, but equally competitive on a damp grass track when compared to schumacher green mini spikes.

Haven't run them on astro, so can't comment there.

What are you guys running up front with them? The fronts give a serious amount of bite in my experience. Schumacher yellow or green spike seem a decent combination on a 2wd on grass but not sure about astro.

Biggest down side is how bad they smell!!!

The word was they were good, but in reality they are crap on carpet and wouldnt recommend them for any high grip surfaces. Stick with Schumie yellows for astro or carpet.

I've found the B compound to be very good in the wet on astro.
The A compound seems a very good tire for practicing with due to low wear but it doesn't seem as quick as yellows in the dry in my opinion.

I ran B compond Dboots on sunday at broxstow, they were awsome on the damp asto,as the track dried and the sand came to the top they lost the forward traction but had good side bite,i think most people stayed on balistc greens and looked a better choise, the schey yellows looked ok untill the spikes rounded off after 3 rounds

Rather harsh,

i've found that Nanobytes are far superior on carpet to minipins

Schuey yellows are useless on all damp astro where A compound Multibytes work on some astro types and the B compound are rumoured to be better than Ballistic Greens on some tracks.

dBoot SCT tyres are far better than Schuey minipins, with also lasting over twice as many meetings on the same surface.

Tyres working well or not depend on car set up, power being put through them and driving style as well as compound/surface matching

Some drivers/cars will find certain types work well on a given surface and others won't.

Its better to be able to change to different tyre patterns and try other compounds then to be stuck with a monopoly on one pattern and limited compounds for the reasons above.

It's certainly not as easy as just saying they are crap... how about you didn't find they worked for you at a particular track/set up?

they are not crap... glad we are allowed to run them in our region as it's an extra weapon of choice.

Not released yet as far as i know, but have seen them in testing so hopefully available very soon.

But the Nanobyte SCT tyres are good on astro, only available in A compound, spikes/pins are much bigger than the buggy tyres so they are more like a minispike size.

bit vicious on front of a 2WD truck, even with trimming although i've just been told that schuey grey hard SCT foams help this.. i run very used 2 rows on each side dremelled Koarse Kings on the front with dBoots untrimmed on rear with yellow fastrax inserts, works a treat.

A1 Hobbies have plenty of dBoots Nanobyte SCT tyres and inserts in
