I still use my old Sanwa 40Mhz radio gear, it works really well so I don't see the point in changing it just yet. However, one of my Sanwa receivers is now not working after a hefty crash at the weekend. Sounds a silly question, but can I get any 40Mhz receiver to replace the Sanwa one, or does it have to be a Sanwa 40Mhz receiver?

When I raced years ago before 2.4 you could use any receiver so long as it was the same type- ie, FM, PPM etc. So I would say yes, but don't hold me to it!

I still use my Sanwa 40mhz stuff too, why spend money to replace something that works perfectly well
![]() Plus all my crystals frequencies are free again ![]() I now have two Sanwa Transmitters, ( thats right folks its a Transmitter not a 'remote'. Does it turn your telly on and off. no, well its not a f@*#! remote then is it !!!!!! I still have the one I bought from Otley modelsport in 1992 ! (yes it was called 'Otley' modelsport once a'pon a time) If it ain't broke don't fix it ! Oh yes sorry got a bit carried away there, off on one I was ![]() The Novak xxl receiver works with Sanwa ( if you can find one that is) try good old ebay, if not ask the old farts track side they might have one in their pit box........... oh wait ......... thats me............. ![]() They made 3 types, you want the one with the yellow arial wire. open up the receiver, look carefully at the components, my guess is 1 of the chokes will have been cracked in the crash, had it happen to a rx311 and its quite an easy fix if you are handy with a soldering iron
