Default KO Esprit 3 Universe Repair?

Anyone know where I can send a KO Universe off to be repaired?

It isn't broken as such, the steering stick wobbles a little side to side before it moves the actual pot, it's a little annoying, other than that it's brand new.

Or could this be something I could do myself? Although it seems to be a pain to take apart. I was also told not to touch the 4 front screws around the sticks as the nuts inside will just fall off inside!

Appreciate any direction.

Hi Steve.
I had the same problem with mine recently.

I took mine in bits and replaced the broken parts with parts from an old esprit 2 set that I have. It was fairly straight forward, the fiddlyest part was the spring! Just be sure to remember where all the parts go when you take it in bits!

Thanks for the response James.

I've taken all the screws out of the back that I can see, but it still won't come apart? Is there any screws under the rubber panels at the back?

Yep, that stumped me for a bit too. The rubber pads pull off and there is a screw under each side

Sounds like you may have broken the "drum" - and to my knowledge there hasn't been any of those available as spares for quite some time. I had also been told before though, that Esprit II parts could be used.

I broken the same part on my throttle stick over 2 years ago.

I could be wrong of course!!

Default Repairs

Send it off to Derek Baliey...he's the main man for KO servicing in the UK.

You can find his details on the forums if you perform a search.
