E-tronix speedo problem

Any info on e-tronix 9 turn brushless system, the speedo is a 60 amp unit? ive put it in the car and set up, it worked ok on 4500 Ni-Mhs, ive now put a 5700 25/35c Lipo in and on full throttle it cuts out, the car is very free rolling and nothing is binding up, the reciever is running a power cap to stabilise the bec voltage. what seems to work is putting the speedo on standard power setting, could the battery be to powerful for the speedo? any suggestions?
