Default HELP WITH ESC'S

Hi guys, i am new to the electric side of things, race 1/8th rallycross to decent standard.

I have just brought a new cougar SV2 and Speed Passion GT V2.0 esc and speed passion 7.5t v3 motor

I have updated the esc with the laptop and put in the settings from Tom Cockerill's setup sheet off the speed passion website.

Reading the sheet it says he also advanced the motor body by 5 degress

do i need to do this??

tried the car in the garden and its ballistic, but i am getting a fair bit of torque steer(back end spinning out) is this normal as only small garden!!

Any help or explanation how these work would be apreciated

You loosen the screws on the backplate of the motor (where the connectors are) and rotate the sensor wire mating connector towards the + mark on the backplate.

If the car is already ballistic I'd leave it alone for now. You can always add timing in the speedo anyway, rather than messing with the motor.
