Default Spektrum KO

Im considering going 2.4 and im going to have to buy the module and reciever combo and a micro rx for the aero.

What are peoples opinions of this package and the spektrum system as a whole. Do people still get glitches?

Cheers chaps im so 90`s

Deffos reccomend spektrum lee. Practice when you want....... no interference. The micro receivers are good because they will fit pretty much anywhere.
I havent ever had any glitching with spektrum.

I have never had a glitch with my ko and spektrum. I run the ex-10 helios and a spektrum pro system in both my el-gear and nitro gear, never been a problem.
And it also gives you good run time, my helios were used for 23,5 hours on the FIRST charge with my Sanyo 2700 pack.

are you going to run the helios or the china sticks?

I had my Ko Vantage fitted with spektrum and I have never looked back

You dont even need to make sure your transmitter is switched on first when pugging your battery in.

Lee, I'm the biggest advocate of Spektrum in the world, it's so handy for people like you and me who don't have pit bitches. I run the micro receiver in 4wd and the std (pro) one in 2wd, never once had a single problem since the day I goit it. Kiddie will be the real test as I've had interference there more than anywhere else I've ever raced including York

I do like the idea of just being able to turn the car on and walk off and stand in the queue for the rostrum.

I think ill have to go for it in the next week or so, im not happy with the KO one in the Aero and i dont want to be dremeling the steering rack

Never glitched once, not even a hicup. Also, you can turn your handset off and leave the car on well you can on std spektrum wheel controllers, its great.

Just go for it Lee, best investment I have made in mor ethan 2 decades of RC. As Dan says, makes it super easy for those who race alone.

Dan I've done LOTS of testing around Kiddy and never one had so much as a glitch with the radio just with my head .... no no I mean deliberate strength testing of Kyosho's latest plastice!!! LOL

(P.S. nothing broken before any gags...)

I am all spektrumed up, but I found I had a glitch on the Pro system, so all mine run the voltage cap....

And don't do what a numpty at my club did, running two classes, left his one car on the pit table, still turned on, went to race the other one, and whoooa, off goes the first car too

you can use a normal capacitor and just solder on a servo lead, cheaper than £6 for a genuine one!

I ran spektrum for the first time at the indoor finals with a ko universe.

I had full shutdown when i tried my cars (and i dont mean on the track!)friday night so was a bit panick stricken, the capacitors which i managed to beg/borrow/steal fixed the prob though but i had to solder them direct to + and - on the speedo as all receiver channels were taken up with th/st/pt and fan.

Aside from this problem spectrum in any shape of form is a great idea, one less thing to worry about (sort of)..

PS i was using the 3001 pro receiver, lrp sphere, 6.5 brushless, ko 2413 servo fyi regarding voltage shutdown..

PPS ive also just ordered 30 of the relevant capacitors so if anyone want some let me know.. (assuming they get here in decent time!)

Not sure, something to do with high amp draw causing high voltage shutdown

Works perfectly in my rallyx where theres only 2 servos and a pt...
