Default TLR 22 Chassis conversions

I am considering either the speartooth or tardis conversion for my 22.
i`ve had a look at the tardis chassis but have`nt had the chance to look at a speartooth one yet.
Any comments on the positives or negative aspects of each chassis welcomed.

Hi Brian

my 22 is stock chassis with the cells roatate 90deg- has been that way since i bought it back in steptember- not sure if i will be up on friday but will be at the regional if you want to chat set up

personly i find the stock chassis works really well and appart from a HRC and drilled pistons my car is stock

Dave Jackson has the tardis chassis on his and is normaly at club most fridays

Positive is that they make the chassis a little more 'nimble'.

Negative is that it makes it very tight on electronics, also doesn't resolve the main issue that is the motor placement.

A cheap option to try is the RossMods chassis.

I pretty much agree with Millzy, there's not a lot wrong with the stock chassis that a Dremel and a few grammes of lead won't sort out. Dan should be running his on friday if you want to come have a look

Default 8mm Shorter

I wanted to try a shorter chassis so I've cut mine. So far its been very good, it seems to respond a little quicker and have more rear bite. Not a huge difference though. Its been my 4th race like that and no sign of failure.

ive got a speartooth and one in normal chassis.

Curently indoor the speartooth seems really good and space is better in it! Grip is really good!

At regionals it will be interesting to see how the two compare outside as ive not ran them race to race yet as only jsut got the second one
