AMB (MyLaps) make the system so there should never be any compatibility issues. MRT are clones so MAY not be compatible with future systems (although I can't see a reason why not).

MRT are cheaper.

AMB issue unique numbers to every PT, MRT clone old or broken AMB numbers and only have a finite number so you may come across another MRT user with the same number (which is why they add an additional 20 numbers) but the chances are slim I guess.

The way I see it, get an AMB one for your first car to get a number unique to you then get it cloned for other cars so you only need one PT number for all cars/classes.
