possibly dumb questions for you

just bought s/h xray x11 link car for my boy (decent pilot) to have a go with at our local club when re race on carpet

it has a 5.5 turn brushless installed and a 1s lipo ,is that going to be stupidly fast even on 1s . i have a couple of 13.5 or 17.5 that i could use with extreme stock HW speedos would they be quick enough ?

yes, with a 5.5 it is going to be very fast. Would recommend that for first time out you run 10.5 blinky. This is plenty fast enough for first run in a 12th and is what is run on saturdays at the nationals.

just spotted you said 13.5 or 17.5. 13.5 on blinky or with a little timing if things are going well would be fine.
