Default Nosram Vs LRP

Are these ESC's the same apart from the colour, or do they have different software / internals?

SXX Stock and Pearl 2

They're the same thing, both made by LRP. These days you need to check that you have the right software loaded for your application. That's not an issue as there are plenty of people who know about them and will help you sort that out. If you buy a new one, then get the one you want for your racing (see LRP's excellent website that has full details of each one) then you'll be fine. If you get a pre-owned one, then find an LRP/Nosram expert at your Club or a National, who has the software updater on their PC, and they will usually sort you out.

LRP now offer logic board upgrades as well as software updates (that will fit both speedos), so it does mean your speedo will be good for a long time for a much lower cost than replacing it. HTH

Depending on how much the board costs this is excellant news.
I have a version 1 sxx and v2 sxx tc most be cheaper than updating to new speedos and will allow software updates to the version 1's as well.

So does that mean that the Nosram Pearl 2 is the same as the SXX but £20 - £25 cheaper? And the software is the same, even if it's not the LRP software will upload to the Nosram?

Has anybody actually done this?

Yes to both. I used a Nosram last weekend for which the software was uploaded for me from an LRP program on the PC.

Great, in that case makes sense to get the Nosram as they're generally cheaper!?
