If shock position, piston and spring remain unchanged but oil is reduced from 35 to 30 in rear shocks can anyone explain what affect in handling the added softness will bring? more rear grip maybe?
Any help much appreciated? Elliott |

Reducing the oil wt should make the shock react faster.
It will make the back end of the car more springy feeling, so the shock should cope better with a rutted bumpy track but may reduce the shocks ability to absorb harsh landings from big jumps. You may also find you get a slight increase in forwards drive as weight will transfer quicker to the rear end of the car, however you may lose a little stability in fast direction changes as the car will have more body body.
