Hi,
as mentioned in other threads got the x4 pro and there seems to be excess movement in the hubs between the actual bearing outer race and the hub it self. Any one had this issue as the back wheels have lots of play in them and this cant be good for setup consistency etc? Thanks

Are you saying the bearing slops around in the hub or are you saying the cvd moves around in the bearings?

it's a bit of both really, moving the wheel forward and backward you can actually see the outer race moving a fraction in the hub. However this translates in to a lot of movement at the wheel, more than any other buggy i have had!

I had a problem with one of my 2wd cars I thought the bearing wouldn't fit, I ground out a bit then found out I just hadn't lined it up correcly. maybe try a different bearing too

Well whilst rebuilding the diffs I looked into the issue and noted the shoulders of the wheel nuts were butting up against the cvd as opposed to the wheel.
Rectified with a shim behind the wheel and between the drive hub. Job done.

their is a tiny ammount of play but the plastic dous where fast on the axle but what you can do is put a grub screw in it and that will stop the play

Honestly shims are the safest option, otherwise you when you tighten the wheel nuts the hexes clamp the outer race (OUTSIDE RING) of the bearing and will cause it to fail.
