Having recently had my old car returned to me by my mother clearing out the house I was thinking about maybe racing it and I was wondering whether it would be possible to do it vaguely competetively and how far stuff has moved on?
The car is a Tamiya Super Astute which is probably about 20 years old, and may need a new battery/motor/gearbox to race. What kind of motors are used these days? Have the frequencies moved on? Do we need to bring our own chrystals(?) for the radio frequencies? Will |

in 20years things are completley different.
Radios Motors Batteries Chargers Cars I would keep your astute for fun and enjoy it and why not have a play on the track but you will not be very competitive racing. Go to the club and see what speeds the cars are doing i think you will be surprised. |
