Default DEX410 ESC and RX

Got my DEX410 just over a week ago as a project while i recover from my shoulder surgery, car is built and set up well. Went thru all of the setup stuff on here and the rango www (diff shim, bullet proof cvd, etc)

Trying to get inspired with the space for the ESC and RX.

Can you please let me know what combo ESC and RX you use, also could you please put a picture up of it so i can see how it looks?

Thanks in advance

Simon

Iv'e used the HW 120amp ESC with a speed passion motor and have just changed to the Orion R10 speedo and Vortex motor, wiring is tight but it does fit!
Pic quality not that good but hope you get the idea, Rx is a spektrum micro!

Am i right in thinking that the rx is mounted standing on its side?

The esc and rx i am looking to use are:-

Speed passion LPF v2

SR300 DSM 3-Channel Sport Receive

Looks like i'm going to have to make some scale cardboard models to see if i can get them to fit.

Use an LRP SXX TC spec they are tiny and leave loads of room to play with. Plus JE Spares are knocking them out cheap as chips.

Get the spektrum micro receiver.
Mounting the standard one on its side is asking for trouble (and thats probably the only way you'll get it in!!!).

I tried it, and couldn't get to any of the plugs without half dismantling the car.
What with the lack of space for motor wires and the ESC/capacitors in there too.

For the 30 odd quid it cost, it was well worth it.

I recently changed to the LRP SXX TC Spec and use the Spektrum Micro Receiver (think its the SR3500). Plenty of room in there now. Great ESC as well.

Yes it is mounted on it's side and it is also a micro RX, with the step down from the side pods it is awkward to mount flat although on my old full fat 2010 model i did have it flat but this hasn't caused any issues yet!
