Default Alloy side pods on a 410 R

Hi all

I wanted to try the alloy side pods on my r as I see some team drivers have still been using them. Thing is the ally side pods haven't got the bits on to hold the battery in place like the plastic ones do. So to do it properly I would need to buy Td310155 alloy centre holder and td320005 battery holder bar. Has anyone else converted there's and found a way of keeping the lipos in place without buying the above bits?

Cheers

Dave

Hang on, I'll post a pic of mine first. Was there a difference between the 2009 and 2010 alloy sides I wonder?

I've been running plastic pods for so long I'd forgotten what the alloy ones looked like lol. I found those lugs keep snapping off mine so I drilled through the hole and now have a screw and nut bolting them down so they can't move.

Right, here we go. Can you see the black l shaped bit next to the pt mount? That is not there on the alloy ones

I just put some high density foam on the centre slipper bulkhead to keep the batteries from moving as my lugs broke off the plastics sides rather quick.

I think he is referring to the battery holding/restraining tab which you can see directly under the PT holder........ exists on the plastic, but not that generation of aluminium pod. DO any of the aluminium pods come with the stops/tabs?

I do like them but they are way to expensive for what you get!

Well, I tried the alloy pods today and first impressions were good . I ran a plastic rear brace and seemed nice to me.
