Default Touring car stock esc recommendations

I am looking to buy an esc to match with my 13.5t lrp x12.

I was looking at the hobbywing extreme stock as there are good reviews and strong support for set up advice.
However I did hear that this might be replaced with a new model very soon???

And have also now had a recomdation for a team powers Xps sport Esc that is released this month. Both are arround the £70 mark.

I might also run 10.5t in the future but that will the the motor limits. Any thoughts or comments please.

Tekin RS or RS Pro will suit your requirements there.

Xtreme stock is what you need, super easy to work with and perfect for what your intending to do (and around 1/2 the price of the Tekin). Mine has never missed a beat in my TC.

The V3 hardware will be released in the full fat (and full size case) spec first, not sure when (or indeed if) the V3 hardware will be shrunk into a package the size of the Xtreme stock unit.

For that money there is only one choice n that's a hobbywing speedo, I've ran one in my wet car all year n now got on in my dry car aswell. With the 13.5 x12 is poss the fastest combo as I no a few of the top drivers in the country usin this

Hobbywing Extreme Stock will do the job nicely.

How much protection do they need when running in the wet??? I notice on the instructions they state they are splash proof.

Blu-Tac all the connectors/leads where they attached to the case and the switch. Basically you want to try and stop any water getting inside the case or the switch - and using Blu-Tac means you can take it all off again when it dries out. Worked for me last summer, mine is still going strong despite the couple of wet rounds of the STCC last year.

You'll want to use Blu-Tac as added security on the the sensor cable anyway.
