I once ran a set indoors and they seemed very similar to the shuey yellow minispikes, i think i will run them exclusively in the regionals this year.

What surface were you running on?
![]() I ran 1 set at two outdoor regionals last year, and they don't seem worn at all. They still look like new. Whereas the shueys were worn after one meeting. Grip wise. i think they're more consistent, and don't drop off as much. |

They look more worn when there run but because of the texture of the tyre there is more grip.

I tried a set on my 2wd at batley outdoors and i was impressed by them. The moulding of them seems to be of a much better quality than the schumacher. I found that even when the spikes had worn down a lot they still had a good level of grip. I think tom cockerill did a practice run and all his qualifiers and a final on a set on his 2wd and still managed a top 3 finish.

I find them very good and predictable. Whereas with new Schumachers on, multisurface track, the car can grip roll if I over-drive the car. but with GRP's they did not grip roll, plenty of grip and duration, and overall I prefered the GRP tyre.
Then it also comes with a moulded insert, so this tipped the scale completely for me ![]() |

Do you guys find the inserts OK, or do you swap them out for Snee blue etc?

I'd like to give them a try. Do you know where I can buy some online ?
Do they make 4wd fronts ? Cheers !

I like the fact that the spikes are moulded properly and both tires are the same in one packet, but that might just be me being picky?
![]() As Ben said I ran them for a full day at Batley when they first came available. I did a couple of practice runs, 4 rounds and the final and finished 2nd? I think. They did 'go off' in the final, but that was after 30+mins running. They do 'look' like they wear very quickly but I found the grip is still there so kept running. Also as said earlier, Rears and 4WD fronts come with foams, all for a cheaper price than Schumacher's + foams, hence I'll be running them at regionals/Club events this year. |

Didn't I also run your car for a round back to back when my servo died?
They are good but it's horses for courses and we'll work out when to use which and when. They have more of a window I think though between dry and damp. Not sure they are the tyre when fully wet but you know if it spits with rain your run won't be entirely burned like on yellows.

Will GRP be developing any other compounds?

they already have 2 other compounds. they are being tested at the moment and Mirage will hopefully start providing them if the feedback is good.
