Which compound Schuey minpins for carpet?

Just got a 2nd hand Blitz with slightly worn Kourse Kings. It does NOT want to steer at all on carpet. If I get some Schumacher minipins would it be best to have Yellows all round or Blue fronts and Yellow rears or Blues all round? My preference is to have a bit of understeer and a more planted rear if poss but at the moment it's just silly. I've got my steering set to 100% but it's behaving as if it's set to 10%.

sounds like you need to tighten the servo saver down a couple of turns,or better still put the STRC alloy steering on to it.

Hi,

I've been running blues all round on a Losi xxx-sct on carpet... but had to dremel 2 outside rows each side off front and 1 row outside each side on rear as grip was far too much to attack corners without rolling.

have done 5 meetings with plenty of track time/practice, fronts still look untouched and probably one more meeting left on rears, will be trying yellows on rear next as hopefully softer compound will help to still grip as they get worn.

kourse kings are a bit slidey on carpet due to hard compound but as said above i would check servo saver too... i locked mine down as had similar issues out of the box.

Will look at the servo saver as its already got the alloy steering set-up on it. Might swap the servo over too as I'm not convinced the one in it is up to the job.

easy way is to check it has full lock when its in your hand,if yes put it on the ground and see if your servo can get as much steering lock,if not its your servo lacking in power.

I'm currently running blues on the front and yellow on the rears of my Blitz, both with the fastrax yellow insert.
I have the STRC servo kit and have had to turn steering down to 80%. plenty of grip on both carpet and wooden gym floor.
