Hi,
I've recently found an old (1998) LRP brushed "Orange AE" motor and I'm about to install it on my old UltimaII. Does anyone know its specs? (example: 12x2 ?) Which pinion should I choose for that motor? The spur is 82p. Thanks in advance ![]()

I have a LRP "Magic", a "Blue E" and a "White E" - any idea what these are? Crazy naming system in 90's.......

I think Orange AE is 15 or 16 turn ish, and triple wind i think, and is pre 1998. About 1994/5 LRP brought out a replacement range of motors "Grand Prix Series II". If the endbell has heatsinks on the brushood screws its an orignal pre 1995 grand prix series. The newer ones had polished arms and heatsinks on the brushhoods.
I had a "Magic II" which was about 10x2, which was uber fast at the time, but used to eat brushes. I also remember the LRP brushes being silly expensive. |

Got an LRP X Generation header card circa 1997 and that shows:
Orange X 14 x 3 Magic 11 x 3 Blue SX 13 x 3 - one of the best motors ever made? ![]() White X 15 x 2 The hotest wind they did at the time was the Psycho, a 10 x 6 (!!!) that revved to the dizzy heights of 50900 RPM! ![]() And whatever happened to winds like the XTC 11 x 6, the smoothest of the smooth! Any more details just ask and if anybodies looking for vintage LRP's I've still got some here! |
