Default Losi 22 conversion

just wondering if people would invest in an affordable losi 22 conversion kit in the region of £35 - £45?

this is just the prototype might get one ready in 2 weeks see how it sell and the review on it. This will inctude:
- Motor cover
-dremmeled mud guards
-Battery posts
-1.2mm thick aluminium battery brace
-Screws for battery brace onto motor cover and to hold battery posts on.
-You will need to purchase a bigger shell, i recomend the FTW Vane. I can also include this for xtra £25

Im wondering if i should include drilled chasis for extra £37 so you just have to build it. These pictures show what I will include...

Note... dont worry about the bad drilling. If that happens to any orders i will throw it in bin and start over.

To be blunt, your gonna strugle.

Your gonna have to grt decent grade ally for a start, and you maching isn't dazling me.

Dremelled side pods!
They need to acuratly milled minimum, for what you asking.

respect for having a go, but to do it nice over and over you will need bending jigs drilling jigs.

This sort of work needs to be spot on

Have read about the 210 to see how finicy people are!!

Agreed - it's one thing to do a little home-modding on your own and have things be a little off (because you're not picky), but when you start offering things up for sale (regardless the price) the included parts need to be perfect and not half-assed (like the alloy ESC bracket that's drilled off the edge).

Because in the greater scheme of things, there's about 10 minutes of dremelling and £20 in parts - anyone could do on their own - and you're wanting to charge £45. Somehow the math just doesn't work.

haha, usually I feel sad when taking radio gear out of a car to use in another car. Not this time hooked the gear out for my 210 and slung the 22 in kids toy box. (They didn't want it either!!)

In case you missed the memo, it's not the car's fault if the driver suffers from "LOFT" (Lack Of F-ing Talent).
But the manufacturers sure don't mind while you keep buying the car of the month in search of some.

I've found that when it comes to hobbies, if you are trying to make a little money off of small one off jobs or specialized items, you are really going to struggle. In this case you are limiting yourself to only people that have a 22 and only people that may want that mod. That's not very many people in the world yet alone near you. Then you've got to factor in that there is competition out there with refined products that do the same thing and suddenly of those few people who would be interested, you are hoping that some of them would want a very cheap option. You may find someone but in the end are a couple of them really worth it? Probably not.

I've been trying to make money off of hobbies for years. I still have a full time job btw! I did buy a 3 axis cnc last year that I am currently getting setup and it does have potential to make nearly anything I want for hobbies but you can imagine that my out of pocket expenses were pretty high. Trying to make money with little to no up front money is a very difficult thing to do. I do applaud an attempt at it though. I've been there.
