Default xray t3 settings

i use my fastrax set up guages to check settings on my xray t3 2010 after each weekly club night camber, caster, toe in on rear is fine but how do i know front wheels are straight to set up the 1 degree toe out required on the front ?

Start off my making sure the left and right steering links are the same length. This is important for equal ackerman and steering throw in each direction.

Then turn the steering (by hand, with the car off) so that the wheels show the same toe on each side. The wheels are now straight.

Now adjust your toe to whatever it is you want.

Now turn the transmitter and car on and adjust the trim so the wheels still show the same toe on the gauge. This will get your trim pretty much accurate; you can then fine-tune it on the track to account for track camber and steering slop.

If the front wheels are straight on the gauges but the car doesn't run straight at the track then there's an issue elsewhere on the car. Maybe something bent (like a rear hingepin), tweak, uneven corner weights, friction in the steering system, or excess play in the servo and steering.

But if the car was "on rails" I'd have just left it alone!

thanks dale for info i know what you mean if it was running on rails leave setup alone but surely toe out of 4 degrees would do damage to tyre and at £28 a set need these to last as long a possible
