Are you sure about that? The first box is the one that comes with the pro speedo and it is a simple program box. The second is the optional one which, when you download the software from speed passion a) allows you to change the speedo setting from a PC and b) download firmware update from t'interweb and upload them to your speedo.

I'd check the Schumacher site as I'm pretty sure that right, by happy to stand corrected (esp as I'm about to order the latter!)

Edit

Both are labelled as model SPLCD01, but the picture in the first link is not a SPLCD01 it is a picture of an SPESCPB01 as per link http://www.racing-cars.com/pp/Manufa...SPESCPB01.html

I've got the SPESCPB01 and its a very basic box, tho perhaps I should look more closely and see if it can be hooked up to a PC, but pretty sure it can't. Again, pls do correct me if wrong

There are 2 sp lcd boxes, one as you say is the basic esc field car, that one has 2 boxes/screens where you can see numbers in each

The other one that is in the first link is the other one with only 1 screen that can display letters/words etc

Be interested to see feedback on the advanced one, for £40 what do you get, aside from the ability to upload latest firmware. Apologies for text in previous post, love smartphones.....

the program one tells you what your adjusting IE brakes the std one just gives a number IE 4
the only other thing you get is the ability to update esc software and the option to store save setups on your pc

Sounds like a nice to have, but as speedo is installed in a very old ZX5 (nope, not even an SP) the money might be better spent elsewhere!

It also enables you to change settings 11-16 (not available on the basic model), and you can also save upto 3 profiles.
