Default Realy need radiogear help plz people

Hi all
Can any one help me, i have the hitec sky ranger 3 40mhz fm radio gear and a while back i lost the xtals, now trouble is i bought a set of 40fm xtals on ebay a while ago and they didnt work so i gave up,any way now i have got the radio gear back out and due to being skint i want this to be my every day use stuff so can some tell me if and which xtals will work with this radio set.
The x'tals i bought say on the tab on the end r-45 and t-45 and on the side of each x'tal it says 40.815mhz so are theese 40mhz fm x'tals?
the other point i need to no is the receaver (hitec hfs-03mt extra narrow band single converstion) has a sticker on the side saying ch84 40.865 so when i bought the x'tals i try'd to get them close to that number as poss.
are theese like standard 27mhz am radio gear where you can fit any coloured 27mhz am xtal or do i need to buy exactly what the sticker says on the side of the rx (ch84.865)
god i hope this thread makes sense lol

Safest option is to buy hitec crystals - they're the only ones guaranteed to work with hitec tx and rx.

The ones you have - did you put the "t" one in the transmitter and the "r" one in the receiver?
