The 3VCS has the same insides as a 3PK, the 3VC has the same insides as a 3PJ. The 3VCS can run HRS mode but in practice there is not much between the two.

The menu's are supposed to be easier on the 3vcs but in practice once you get used to either one there both easy.
The 3vcs has different mixing capabilities over the 3vc but I’ve only ever used this on a bike when I was using the 3rd channel for the front brake.
On the 3vcs the screen is back lit and has graphical image of expo curves and stuff which is handy but not essential plus you can change the colour of the LED (mood lighting)

So there are no problems with the 3vc, works well, and would be a reasonable upgrade from a gemini 2?

I'm stll using mine after 10 years, owned since new... but bear in mind that most of them will be a good 6+ years old by now so might need a service if buying second-hand.

O.k, so I bought a 3vc with spekky and it seems to work well.
Only problem is that I don't have any distructions with it, can't find any on the futaba site (only the 3vcs) and can't work out how to reverse both steering and throttle channels (ie I turn left and it turns right..)
Anybody point me to where I can find them, tell me how to do it or simply put me out of my misery?

This manual should help. Using the six main buttons on the front is the key to it all...

We are going to York tomorrow night so if you are there have a chat with Greg as he has a 3VC & should be able to show you the basics of how to set it up. Also i have a manual you can borrow for a couple of weeks to get you started
