Default maxamps lipo's

Has anyone tried the 4000mah lipo's from maxamps, if so any thoughts.

I was going to order the 6000mah one but going off my measurements it won't fit in the predator. The 4000 is going to be a tight fit as it is.

more details can be found here:
http://www.maxamps.com/Lipo-4000-74-Saddle.htm

thanks

Could you measure the total height of your packs including the hard case, if it's the removable one.

The only problem i can see with them is the height as it states 29mm on the site, the cells out of my b4 with the corally's above the cell measure 28mm and i can't get them to fit under the shell on my predator.

thanks

Just taken delivery of mine, but have yet to run them, look good, and r pretty skinny, but the heigh varies from 19mm - 23mm as the cables are soldered to the top of the pack, as opposed to the end.
looking forward to giving them thier firt run though.

I bought 2 of the 4400 packs.
They run great, have punch and run time.
I balanced them after getting them and already had charged them 5 times each and one needed it a little and the other was perfect.
I have an ICE charger and I run a GTB with a 4.5L
I am using 1800-1950mah per 5 min race.
It is taking 45-50 min to recharge.
So having 2 packs is the way to go. Our round are run fast enough that I cant get one pack charged before the next round.
Buy 2 of them they work great.

David, did you order the cased packs or cased and shrunk in? What's your impression of the case concerning stability?

Can you confirm the measurements given at the maxamps site (boxed)?

I want to put this 6000 saddle in my Yok BXF

I just been reading the new rules from the BRCA regarding LiPo cells, and it stated that is is to be 2 cells in series, which, if I am not mistaken, rules out saddle pack LiPo. Which are four cells, 2 in each saddle in parallel and then the two sides in series.

I would imagine the only reason they said '2 cells in series' is to make sure no one runs voltages higher than 7.4v? Could someone get clarification from the bods that know?

I guess it is the same as saying no more than 6 sub-c cells.
