Nearly, from X Factory site

"All the new parts fit on the original X - 5, and all the original parts fit the new car, with one exception: you must have a new Squared idler bar (Part # 5342) to run a Squared chassis (#1003). "

As I recall this is because the idler bar mounting face is now machined rather than just a moulded face so the idler bar is now thicker (and better machined TBH).

Also fits the dual idler pulley which personally I think is a good upgrade!

Ok, cool, thanks Dan. P.S. just how the hell do you take a chuck out of the front of the chassis? Only millzy could, eh?

Are you thinking of having a go with his then Ian?

The squared chassis is MUCH better than the original one in terms of quality and strength and it's lighter. Without patronising you it's all here http://www.xfactoryrc.com/news_06_26_07.htm

Yeah, might as well, got nothing to lose really. If i don't like it i will just run my xx4.
I do love the way the xx4 handles, but getting that extra bit of room and only having one belt to worry about is a big plus! There will probably be some questions for you guys down the road

cheers

Excellent. If you've got any questions then shout in this thread or PM me.

Also I put this up last night which might be of some use http://www.one-ten-rcforums.com/4wdr...ic.php?id=1540

There is all sorts of usefull info on 4wdrc.com , with the tranny in my opinion if you build it right (see above link) then it's fit and forget for 6 months at a time.

Ah, I don't actually have those on yet as my axles are so baggared the nut only had about 1 1/2 threads on it so I took them off again. That reminds me to ring DMS and order some new axles!

I do have some nice blue slim line nuts on the car though, wonder where I got those from?
