Anyone got any good models or advice? I'm after a small in size power supply.

Something like this?
there's quite a few different ones in different power ratings and from different sellers, i've got a 29amp one and it's been great, had it atleast 3 years now, think i paid £30
I chose to modify it, as the connections are made with a strip of screw terminals and i was worried about pulling the wires out, especialy the mains, so i removed the screw strip, soldered wires stright into the board, then tywrapped them tight to the case, put sockets on the end of the outputs, job done

my 29amp beast is probably a bit taller than a stick tx, just over half the width and same thickness as a ko stick at a rough guess, so the smaller power ones should be much smaller than a stick tx

The Much-More Power Master Mini is a nice size. About the same width as my Hyperion charger, a little taller and half the depth. 8A output.

I recently bought one of the Much-More Power Master Mini's, and it's a nice bit of kit, although a bit pricey at £50.

However, I've since seen this (http://www.electricwingman.com/junsi...upply-psu.aspx) which is up to 23A output, and for less money! If I'd seen it earlier I'd have got one instead of the MM.

I use one of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dell-Power...item35b46281ad

You need to cut of the connector and link the blue wire to one of the black ones to switch it on and you're laughing.

There are 3 pairs of power wires in the cable, to I fitted 3 pairs of 4mm sockets so that I can attach my charger and soldering iron easily

18A for about 20 quid (including bits from Maplin or the like) Bargain

I can post up photos of the mods if you want?

Ian
