Question 22 slipping diff problem

hi guys.

i'm starting to get a slippin diff in the 22. i ran it at my local lastnight, set the slipper to suit the track but the diff just wont stop slipping.
i was wondering due to not seeing them in the kit but does the diff need the extra rings like the cr uses or not

any advice would be appreciated.

cheers..Alan

You may have stripped the nut or the nut holder and so cant get enough tension into the spring.

After lots of diff issues I now have standard Losi rings and thrust bearing with ceramic diff balls and b4 nut, nut holder and screw. Lasts an age without needing a rebuild now and can be run fairly loose without slipping.

get the ceramic diff balls and thrus balls then use an associated diff screw and nut then the diff will run and run .. this is what i did about 3 months ago and i have only re built the diff once just to check it, and it was perfect ....

hope this helps

losi also do an aluminium diff nut optional part but it can be more expensive than the associated T-nut

But this won't stop the diff from coming loose as you will still be using the stupid tiny diff nut ...

Losi have got a gen 2 diff nut listed now for the 22/T, looks like a one piece molded item.

The Associated screw/nut/holder set is only £3 and, as SlowBob said, will keep the diff tight. Ceramic balls are highly recommended too
